7 October: Record of the Year award 2010 will be presented to Norwegian violinist Annar Follesø for a brilliant CD of works by Ole Bull (1810-80), at the residence of the Norwegian ambassador. Reception and short concert. Members and their guests only. Details from beryl@berylfoster.com

28 October: AGM and concert at Schott’s Music Shop, 48 Gt. Marlborough Street, London (nearest tube, Oxford Circus). Concert at 8.00pm of piano music by Grieg, Rachmaninov and Chopin, played by Jakob Fichert. Guests and members of the public welcome. Tickets £7.50 (£5.00 for members) to include a glass of wine available on the door or in advance from the Society. Details from beryl@berylfoster.com
